Series 3741 MEMS DC accelerometers from Vibration Div., PCB Piezotronics, Inc., Depew, NY, are offered in F.S. ranges from 2–200 g with up to 2 kHz measurement capability and sensitivities up to 1 V/g for use in crash-simulation sleds, truck axles, and aircraft wing surfaces. DC response allows measurements in both static and dynamic environments. The sensors include mechanical overrange stops, internal amplification, gas damping, and temperature compensation. Internal amplification provides a ±2 V F.S. output at low acceleration levels.
