The R158 rotary incremental encoder from Gurley Precision Instruments, Troy, NY, generates quadrature square waves at up to 1,000,000 counts/rev. and provides RS-422 differential line driver, current-source analog waveform, or voltage-source analog waveform output options. Index options include a full-cycle sinusoid index or a quarter-cycle gated once-per-revolution index.
