The Endevco Model 7270AM6 from Meggitt Sensing Systems, San Juan Capistrano, CA, is a rugged, high-g piezoresistive shock accelerometer with frequency response capabilities down to DC or steady state and designed to support a variety of extreme testing requirements. Usable frequency range is DC to 10 kHz and the operating temperature range is –34°C to 66°C. Features include a built-in mechanical filter assembly that provides a damped output with a linear phase shift and mitigates high-frequency shock pulse content to protect the sensor from high-g, high-frequency inputs that would otherwise exceed typical sensor overrange limits. The sensor can measure long-duration transient events, including near-field shock.
