High-Accuracy Linear Scale from Heidenhain
Heidenhain Corp.
April 18, 2007

The LIDA 500 Series 20 μm incremental linear scales from Heidenhain Corp., Schaumburg, IL, offer measuring steps of 1–0.1 μm and are useful where installation space is limited. The LIDA 583 and LIDA 573 scales each have two smaller scanning fields with double-field scanning. The signal is corrected online electronically, compensating for the known disadvantages of small scanning fields. Features include glass scales, a reference mark at the midpoint, ±5 μm accuracy grade, and resistance to contamination. Interfaces are 1 Vpp or TTL.
