The PSA2701T from Saelig Co. Inc., Pittsford, NY, is a handheld 2.7 GHz spectrum analyzer that is built around a Palm T|X handheld computer. The device offers sweep modes of continuous, single, peak hold, and average with unlimited storage for waveforms, setups, and fully annotated screens under user-defined file names. Other features includes WiFi, Bluetooth 1.1, and IR interfaces, the ability to store bitmap images of the screen, and software for documentation. Specifications include –93 dBm typical noise floor, –20 or 0 dBm reference level, zero span mode with AM and FM audio demodulation, and resolution bandwidths of 1 MHz, 280 kHz, and 15 kHz. Sweep parameters can be set as 'center plus span' or 'start plus stop' to 1 kHz resolution.
