The GigE Trigger device from Baumer, Southington, CT, is designed to control single- or multicamera setups, eliminating the need for hardware triggers and simplifying cable requirements. Features include 8 inputs, 8 outputs, and a 3-port switch; one port controls the internal trigger signals, the second port is connected to the camera, and the third port transfers the images to the PC. The device's connections can be used to integrate light barriers, encoders, sensors, and actuators and removes the need for an I/O card located at the PC.
