The PXM-GIGE from WinSystems Inc., Arlington, TX, is a SUMIT-ISM-compatible Gigabit Ethernet module for high-speed networking connectivity for small-form-factor industrial embedded applications. The 90 by 96 mm module connects to 10/100/1000 Mbps networks using standard CAT5 UTP copper cables and offers a stackable PCI Express expansion on a PC/104 module with the addition of the high-speed SUMIT connector. The device is based on the Intel 82573 controller. It plugs into the company's PXM-C388-S 1.66 GHz Atom N455-based SBC and other SUMIT-ISM-compatible products. The module supports Linux, Windows, and other x86-compatible real-time operating systems.
