Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, TX, introduces floating switch architecture with its TPS92411 that simplifies offline linear drive of LEDs in lamps, downlights, and fixtures. Features include 100 V, 2 Ohm floating MOSFET switch with 350 mA current capability; LED drive performance >0.95 and < 15% of total harmonic distortion; low LED current ripple for efficiency; low noise with low frequency, slew-rate switch action; and availability in 5-pin SOT-23 package.
