The EDS4100 Evolution device server from Lantronix Inc., Irvine, CA, allows IT-certified administrators to connect nontraditional IT equipment to corporate networks. The external device server allows you to connect noncomputer devices with the same protocols used to connect traditional networking equipment, such as servers, routers, and switches. The server features the company's Evolution OS network operating system and it includes open standards-based security, supports XML and RSS, and is fully IEEE 802.3af PoE-compliant and RoHS-compliant.
