Elinx Ethernet Extenders from B&B Electronics Mfg. Co. Inc., Ottawa, IL, let you deploy remote security cameras, IP phones, and other Ethernet devices beyond Ethernet's 100 m limit. Extenders run point-to-point or point-to-multipoint and require two extenders, one at each of the extension points. The 1-port EIRP-EXTEND, 2-port EIRP-EXTEND-2, and 4-port (2 PoE+ and 2 standard) EIRP-EXTEND-4 Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) 10/100 Mbps models extend Ethernet connections up to 1900 m and power devices directly. The single-port EIRM-EXTEND and 2-port EIRM-EXTEND-8 are managed models that let you monitor remote communications via Web browser and SNMP. The EIRM-EXTEND-8 is also an 8-port Ethernet switch.
