Environmental Sensor Board from Micro/sys
July 22, 2009
Micro/sys, Montrose, CA, offers the I2C1610 environmental sensor board for StackableUSB. The compact, 1.85 by 1.74 in. I2C device enables an embedded system to monitor temperature, light, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. The host computer receives the sensor status via the StackableUSB connector, enabling the embedded system to adjust its performance to match environmental needs. The Rohm ambient light sensor has a 1–65,535 lux range for light in the 400–850 nm spectrum. The Honeywell HIH Series humidity sensor detects RH from 0%–100% RH with ±3.5% RH accuracy. The TI digital temperature sensor provides 4 user-selectable resolutions from 9- to 12-bit with ±0.5°C accuracy. The Infineon absolute atmospheric pressure sensor measures gauge input pressure from 40–115 kPa with a 53.3 mV/kPa sensitivity.
