The In-Sight 7010 from Cognex Corp., Natick, MA, is an entry-level vision system developed for inspection tasks where vision sensors are too limited and a standard vision system would not be cost effective. The self-contained system includes built-in autofocus capability with 5 different lens options, integrated white lighting (four colored lights are optional), and a compact IP67-rated industrial housing. You can configure applications using the EasyBuilder user interface; the vision library has been simplified to focus on the tools most frequently used in straightforward vision applications.
