EnOcean Inc., Salt Lake City, UT, and Boston, MA, offers a line of energy harvesting wireless modules for the North American market that communicate on the 902 MHz band. The modules add to the company's existing 315 MHz Dolphin portfolio and include the PTM 210U self-powered wireless switch module, the STM 300U solar-powered wireless sensor module, and the TCM 300U and TCM 320U transceiver modules for controllers and gateways. The 902 MHz transceiver achieves double the range of 2.4 GHz devices for the same energy budget and is less impacted by interference from light ballasts, LED drivers, and other co-located devices. Applications include building automation, healthcare products, consumer appliances, and M2M.
