Energy Harvesting Modules from ALD

Advanced Linear Devices (ALD) Inc.
March 21, 2007

EH300 and EH301 EPAD modules from Advanced Linear Devices (ALD) Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, are designed to capture, accumulate, and store power from a variety of energy harvesting sources and supply it to wireless sensor networks, remote controls, and other applications. The modules can accept energy from waste energy sources such as vibration, light, chemical reaction, fluid and air flow, and environmental heat and store it to power conventional 1.8 and 5.0 V electrical circuits and systems. The EH300A is a 4.6 mJ module for 1.8–3.6 V operation, with a 30 mJ useful energy output. The EH301 supports 3.0–5.0 V operating circuits and has a 55 mJ useful energy output.
