EnOcean, Boston, MA, offers the EVA 120C evaluation kit that lets you design self-powered wireless sensors that don't require batteries or external power. The kit includes one of the company's STM 110C solar-powered sensor transmitter modules and a development board with a PC interface. Each module contains a low-power radio, solar cell power generator, microcontroller, and ultra-low-power sleep timer and threshold detector and is 0.8 by 1.6 by 0.4 in.
