The PEC-3240 from Advantech Corp., Industrial Automation Group, Cincinnati, OH, features 4-axis motion control, 32-channel isolated digital I/O, and an Intel Celeron M CPU. The fanless, diskless embedded controller provides 2/3-axis linear, 2-axis circular interpolation, continuous interpolation, T/S curve-speed profile, and position limit detection motion control functions. The 244 by 152 by 59 mm controller has an operating temperature range of –10°C to 65°C, supports Windows 2000/XP and Windows XP Embedded, and has preinstalled drivers to control motion and I/O functions.
