The Model 6482 dual-channel picoammeter from Keithley Instruments Inc., Cleveland, OH, has dual ±30 V independent, nonfloating bias sources and 1 fA measurement resolution. The 2 independent picoammeter/source channels are in a 2U half-rack enclosure and allow simultaneous 6-1/2-digit measurements across both channels. Measurement ranges are 2 nA to 20 mA in decade steps, measurement accuracy is ±1% on the 2 nA range, and dynamic range is 1 fA to 20 mA. Other features include ratio or delta measurements between the 2 channels; Trigger Link software-selectable triggering; standard GPIB and RS-232 interfaces; and a scaled 0—10 V analog output. Applications include characterizing electronic materials and devices designed for low-current operation.
