The KDM-8206 high-precision displacement measuring system from Kaman Precision Products | Measuring, Middletown, CT, has a 19 in. modularized rack format that lets you add channels by installing modular PC backplane boards into empty enclosure slots. The KDM-8206 module contains the inductive bridge and signal conditioning circuits that provide the linear voltage output proportional to the displacement of the target relative to the sensor. Resolution is 10 µin. or better or 0.01% F.S. Nonlinearity is <1% F.S., frequency response is 50 kHz standard, and output signals are single-ended voltage, differential voltage, or 4–20 mA. Enclosures include a 12-channel full rack, 9-channel mid-rack, and 6-channel half-rack.
