The LTC6409 from Linear Technology Corp., Milpitas, CA, is a fully differential amplifier capable of driving DC to 100 MHz signals with 1.1 nV/√Hz noise and –88 dBc HD2/HD3 distortion. Features include a 10 GHz gain-bandwidth product, 100 dB SFDR up to 40 MHz, 1% settling time of 1.9 ns, and 160 ns turn-on time. Gain and feedback resistors are external; the amplifier is unity gain stable and its output current of up to 95 mA lets it drive lower-value feedback and gain resistors for very low output noise. Its input common-mode range is 0–3.5 V and its output common-mode range is 0.5–3.5 V when using a single 5 V supply. Applications include radar signal processing, imaging, high-speed test and measurement, and communications.
