The Model 7285 from Endevco Corp., San Juan Capistrano, CA, weighs less than 1 g, has a 2000 g F.S. range, and is designed for vehicle crash, crush zone, and impact testing. The piezoresistive device uses a high-output, micromachined monolithic sensing element with integrated mechanical stops. It has a 0–4000 Hz frequency response extending down to DC, has a 10,000 g static acceleration limit, and a 0°F–150°F operating temperature range. Resonant frequency is >20 kHz.
