The DAWN mini logger from HEM Data, Southfield, MI, is designed for in-vehicle diagnostics and fits within the mating OBD (J1962) connector under the dashboard. The stand-alone logger supports all leading automotive protocols including CAN and J1939 to acquire OBD and enhanced diagnostic data. The enhanced diagnostic data allows the logger to acquire a few hundred parameters from multiple controllers simultaneously. In a special test mode the data are acquired at up to 250 sps for each parameter. The device automatically starts and stops when the vehicle ignition is turned on and off. You can connect a PC to the logger for real-time data analysis and display.
