Silicon Designs Inc., Issaquah, WA, has added a ±5 g model to its 2210 Series of MEMS capacitive accelerometer modules. Designed to support lower-frequency (DC to 400 Hz) aerospace, automotive, defense, energy, industrial, and general test and measurement applications, the low-noise, single-axis Model 2210-005 contains MEMS capacitive sensing elements packaged in a compact, anodized, epoxy-sealed aluminum housing with a 1 by 1 in. footprint. Features include a 4-wire connection, internal voltage regulator, 2 analog voltage outputs that vary with acceleration, single or differential outputs, fully differential signal outputs around the common-mode voltage of ~2.5 V, and a sensitive axis perpendicular to the bottom of the package.
