SoMat cDAQ mobile CAN-based DA modules from HBM, Marlborough, MA, are 35 by 217 by 50 mm and provide a distributed network of signal conditioning for difficult test objects, including engine enclosures, gearboxes, pumps, and power generation. The modules operate in temperatures from –40°C to 125°C, have IP67 protection, and are compatible with any CAN ISO 11898 2.0B-based system or vehicle network. Multiple modules can be connected. The cDAQ-ITC module for Type K, J, or T thermocouples has 16 channels, each with cold junction compensation, ±5°C accuracy, and 0.1–15 Hz selectable sampling rates.
