Photron’s FASTCAM SA-Z camera system delivers 21,000 frames per second (fps) at megapixel resolution and over 2,000,000 fps at reduced resolution. Its enhanced global electronic shutter operates from 1-millisecond (standard) down to 159 nanoseconds and is reportedly capable of freezing the fastest motion without blurring. Other features include a 12-bit pixel depth, light sensitivity measurements of ISO 25,000 for monochrome and 10,000 for color, and a 20 micron-square pixel format. The SA-Z provides two SD card slots, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, and four onboard memory options: 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.
