The Series 119B and 109C dynamic ICP and charge-output pressure sensors from PCB Aerospace & Defense Div. of PCB Piezotronics Inc., Depew, NY, are designed to measure internal ballistics. The piezoelectric devices have acceleration-compensated quart sensing elements and detect rapid pressure transients. Onboard electronics provide a conditioned output signal and can transmit noise-free signals over long cable runs. Full scale measurement ranges are available to 100,000 psi. Other features include a ceramic coating that allows flush mounting, solid-state construction, high-strength steel housings, high frequency response, and sensitivity up to 20 mV/psi.
