Kavlico, Moorpark, CA, offers a line of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) pressure sensors for vehicles and industrial equipment that use alternative fuels. The SS devices use a thin-film TiON sensing element and are offered in pressure ranges up to 250 BarG. Operating on 5 VDC, the sensors provide a linear, amplified 0.5–4.5 VDC output proportional to pressure and have an operating temperature range of –40°C to 140°C. Applications include monitoring and measuring low pressure for fuel rail, high pressure for tank pressure, or combined temperature and temperature to optimize fuel metering and to control combustion.
