Koslow Scientific Co., Englewood, NJ, has updated its TE-3000 thermoelectric alloy sorter to add specialized interchangeable probe tips and data logging to its ability to perform rapid field identification of materials such as steels, nickel, aluminum, and titanium alloys. The device provides an ASTM-approved method for sorting (ASTM E977) and can be used to detect platings and plasma coatings, perform inline and part testing, and sort scrap. Supplied with a protective carrying case and international voltage regulator, the sorter can be used to inspect critical piping, flanges, tanks, bearings, and finished parts.
