The Endevco Model 8515C from Meggitt Sensing Systems, San Juan Capistrano, CA, is a miniature, high-sensitivity piezoresistive pressure transducer designed to measure surface airflow and other aerodynamic measurements. Features include measurement ranges of 15 or 50 psia with 200 mV F.S. output and 180 or 320 kHz frequency responses, respectively; operating temperature range of –54°C to 121°C; combined nonlinearity, nonrepeatability, and pressure hysteresis error of <0.50% F.S.; ability to withstand 10,000 g shock and 10,000 g acceleration; min. 5X burst pressure; and overall thickness of 0.030 in. and 0.250 in. dia. The sensor is typically mounted onto curved surfaces.
