July 19, 2006
Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, TX, offers its TMS320F2801-60 and FS802-60 digital signal controllers that operate at 60 MHz and combine 32-bit DSP performance with the peripheral integration and ease-of-use of a microcontroller. The devices feature either 32 or 64 KB of Flash, depending on model; 12 KB of RAM; 8 PWM and 3 high-resolution PWM outputs; and SCI, SPI, I2C, and CAN communication interfaces. Applications include digital power conversion, motor control, and intelligent sensor control, such as AC/DC rectifiers and sensorless vector control of 3-phase motors.
