Designed to support 3G, LTE, WiMAX base stations and repeaters, and software-defined radios, the DAC3484 from Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, TX, is a 4-channel, 16-bit DAC that operates at 1.25 Gsps and consumes as little as 250 mW/channel. Features include wideband power amplifier linearization of up to 250 MHz, 16-bit interleaved 1.25 Gsps input, low-jitter 2–32x PLL, 2–16x interpolation and 2 independent 32-bit NCOs, and offset, gain, group delay, and phase control for system calibration.
