12-Mpixel Image Sensor Delivers 300 fps
December 2, 2013

CMOSIS has unveiled its CMV12000 12-Mpixel CMOS image sensor that is capable of generating 300 fps at full 4,096 x 3,072 resolution. The 300-fps CMV12000 targets a broad range of demanding applications including process automation and motion control, the rapidly developing 4K HD TV broadcasting environment and vision-supported traffic management systems. It also features a high dynamic range coupled with its global shutter operation, and 8-, 10- (300 fps), and 12-bit resolutions. Volume production will ramp up towards the end of the second quarter of 2014 while engineering samples will be available for purchase in February. The previous version of the CMV12000 offering 150 fps is also in full volume production.
