RigNet, Inc. Awarded VSAT License in Qatar

The license expands the companies options for providing managed communications to the oil and gas industry within Qatar.

HOUSTON,TX (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RigNet, Inc. (Nasdaq:RNET), a leading provider of managed communications to the oil and gas industry, announced that its subsidiary, RigNet Qatar WLL, has been awarded a license to provide VSAT services within the country of Qatar.

In commercial collaboration with Qatar Telecom (Qtel), RigNet has been serving Qatar's oil and gas industry with remote communications solutions for many years. With the advent of telecommunications market liberalization in Qatar, the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) has awarded RigNet a VSAT license in Qatar.
