OxySense Offers OxyPerm New ReleaseJanuary 25, 2011
An advancement in permeation measurement technology, OxyPerm delivers a high degree of accuracy for testing films, packages and containers at a favorable pricing.
DALLAS, TX -- OxySense Inc. announced the release of its second generation OxyPerm Permeation System, an accurate and reliable oxygen permeation measurement system in a value-priced package. With OxyPerm, multiple tests can be performed (fully scalable up to 250 test chambers) with a single instrument. OxyPerm is ideal for labs considering replacing or expanding their permeation capabilities; or for companies who would consider bringing this function in house, but have been reluctant to do so because of the high capital cost of conventional systems.
"We are pleased to be able to deliver to the packaging industry, a single system that can perform the permeation tests and oxygen studies that laboratories want to run, yet is affordably priced," said Peter Gerard, president of OxySense.
Gerard notes that independent testing by a major university's packaging science program found that "OxySense and OxTran produce statistically identical results, except that variation or uncertainty of the Mocon Oxtran data tend to be greater than those obtained by OxySense."
The newly released version of OxyPerm offers improved flat and perforated film OTR testing in addition to improved measurement of oxygen scavenging.
OxyPerm, which includes the field-proven OxySense 5000, also enables permeation tests of PET containers (in gas or dissolved O2) and flexible packages (with real product inside).
OxyPerm also supports numerous oxygen measurement procedures, such as:
- Headspace analysis
- Dissolved O2 studies
- Shelf life studies
- Live package studies
Affordable to own and operate, OxyPerm is value-priced to buy, cost efficient to operate with no large gas bills, little or no maintenance and no annual factory service or calibration costs.
OxySense, Inc. is the international leader in non-invasive real time oxygen measurement systems for packaging and processing in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
