INW and Geosyntec Announce New Strategic Partnership for OptiRTCMay 2, 2014
KIRKLAND, WA and BROOKLINE, MA -- INW and Geosyntec Consultants announced today a comprehensive, nationwide partnership to integrate INW's sensor and telemetry hardware with Geosyntec's web-based visualization and control decisions software, OptiRTC.
Geosyntec plans to adopt INW's telemetry and sensor technologies to enhance its core hardware solutions for remote data acquisition from field sites. INW plans to utilize OptiRTC to provide users with solutions that include remote data visualization; sensor data integration with web-based data such as weather; operational alerting; and automated controls.
INW (http://www.inwusa.com/) is a leading manufacturer of water instrumentation, data logging, and telemetry equipment for the environmental industry. OptiRTC (http://www.optirtc.com/) is a suite of Geosyntec-developed computing services for the monitoring and control of water resources systems and other advanced green infrastructure facilities.
"Our goal is to provide our customers with the easiest hardware and software technology, so they can stay focused on science," said Paul Eaton, INW's VP of Sales and Marketing. "We are very excited to work with the members of Geosyntec's OptiRTC team, who share our vision and have helped simplify data delivery and decision-making processes for users."
"Our partnership with INW is part of our broad vision to bring change to the means and methods by which data is collected, integrated, and acted upon within disparate environmental systems," said Marcus Quigley, P.E., D.WRE, CPESC, a principal water resources engineer for Geosyntec based in Massachusetts.
"INW is at the technical forefront of the environmental monitoring industry and has embraced the role of web-centered hardware to enable the 'Internet of Things,'" Quigley said. "Geosyntec's OptiRTC is one of the first software as a service (SaaS) applications to take advantage of these web-centered technologies for engineering of infrastructure systems."
The integration of INW hardware and OptiRTC web services will bring data from remote field locations to the desktop instantly and enable remote control of distributed equipment, which reduces site visits, eliminates data processing time, and increases understanding of site dynamics.
