Vehnet and RF Code Announce Partnership

June 12, 2013

The two companies will leverage their technologies to deliver an advanced active RFID system for the logistics and industrial markets.

AUSTIN, TX /BUSINESS WIRE/ -- Vehnet, a recognized leader in advanced yard management systems, and RF Code Inc., a leading provider of active RFID asset location and sensor solutions, have announced a strategic partnership that will enable their combined technology to deliver the most advanced active RFID solution for the logistics and industrial marketplace.

While some warehouse management systems and transport management systems include a yard management element typically, these are minor modules with limited functionality. Furthermore, such systems do not generally include the fully integrated real-time asset location tracking data essential to optimize processes and reduce asset management costs.

"The impact of inaccurate or out-of-date information can have far-reaching consequences for the supply chain, including additional costs, disrupted production, and poor customer service," said Steve Jones, Managing Director of Vehnet. "The new Vehnet and RF Code solution for reusable containers is a great example of how two logistics professionals are working together to eliminate 'black holes' in customer supply chains, improving efficiency and saving costs. We are very excited about this innovative initiative and have already had strong interest from a number of customers."

"We are delighted to announce this strategic partnership with Vehnet", said Mitch Medford, CEO of RF Code. "Supply chains require real-time and accurate data in order to remain efficient and profitable. This unique combined solution will dramatically reduce cost, time, and effort in these challenging environments."

The solution from Vehnet and RF Code delivers an accurate yet affordable, real-time wire-free tracking system that improves management of finished goods, reusable packaging, and key individual components while providing visibility and control across every aspect of the yard, from complex, multi-site operations to single-site deployments.
