The company will advise alliance members on embedding THINERGY solid-state batteries in their products and include DASH7 technology in reference designs.
LITTLETON, CO /PRNewswire/ -- Infinite Power Solutions Inc. (IPS), maker of the award-winning THINERGY Micro Energy Cell (MEC) and leader in solid-state, micro-energy storage solutions, announced its membership in the DASH7 Alliance, a nonprofit industry consortium that promotes the use of the ISO 18000-7 (DASH7) standard for wireless sensor networking. As a member of the DASH7 Alliance, IPS will work with more than 50 member organizations around the world to advance development of the DASH7 standard and to help integrate DASH7 technology into powered cards used for credentials, transportation, access control, and location systems. DASH7 is a wireless sensor networking technology that evolved from the radio-frequency identification and sensing technologies used in the defense industry.
With IPS's membership of DASH7, the company will have access to developments and specifications of the ISO18000-7 standards still in progress, and be able to exchange ideas and insights with various other member groups in a broad range of vertical markets.

The THINERGY MEC101 will be embedded in several thin powered devices, which include DASH7 technology. The combined technologies will overcome challenges, such as goods-in-transit tote identification and real-time tracking, improving product safety, helping monitor logistics and transportation practice, and revolutionizing record maintenance. Data from the tote RFID/RTLS tags will be integrated with other location-based information to provide comprehensive material flow data and enhance just-in-time systems.
