Onset Introduces Enhanced Temperature and Humidity Smart Sensor

BOURNE, MA /BUSINESS WIRE/ -- Onset Computer, a leading supplier of battery-operated data loggers and weather stations, introduced a new Temperature/RH Smart Sensor for the company's award winning HOBO Weather Station products.

Offering high-accuracy measurements, the new Temperature/RH Smart Sensor is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, from agricultural and ecological research to greenhouse growing. The sensor features extended reliability in humid environments and provides more than three times greater temperature accuracy over previous models. Other features include:

  • Replaceable RH sensor—provides users with a cost-effective method for replacing sensors by simply plugging in a replacement sensor

     

  • Smart sensor design—enables plug-and-play connection to HOBO Weather Stations and Micro Stations, which can automatically recognize the sensor without extensive user setup, programming, or calibration.

The new Temperature/RH Smart Sensor works with Onset's 15-channel HOBO Weather Station and 4-channel HOBO Micro Station. These systems can be configured to measure the user's choice of a wide range of parameters and are powered for one year using only four AA batteries. Onset offers a number of data logging software and communications options for HOBO Weather Station products.
