The FMOD-IPDCMOT from Saelig Co. Inc.
, Pittsford, NY, is a motion control card that uses an Ethernet bus to communicate data and supply power at the same time over distances up to several thousand yards. The device has an integrated Web server and combines a 32-bit motion controller with Ethernet communications to control DC brush motors. The embedded RISC processor is programmed with a 4-quadrant 32-bit PID regulator that refreshes power regulation up to 4 kHz with a sampling rate of 20–2000 Hz. Brake, free, open-loop, position control, speed control, and 10 homing modes are available.
