The multi-threaded MIPS32 34K core enables the new Mobileye C2-270 collision prevention system, which can increase pedestrian, road, and vehicle safety by alerting drivers before a collision occurs.

The C2-270 was introduced separately by Mobileye N.V., a global pioneer and leader in vision-based collision prevention systems. The off-the-shelf C2-270 product, featuring Mobileye's MIPS-based EyeQ2 vision chip, can increase pedestrian, road, and vehicle safety by alerting drivers in the critical seconds before a collision occurs.

The 34K core family is the first implementation of the MIPS Multi-threading Application Specific Extension (ASE) in a licensable IP core, designed to exploit multi-threading in embedded applications.
